The AAPI Network is a 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 33-2987062, based in Chicago, Illinois. This page explains what information we collect through our website and what we do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to write.
- Donation information. Donations are processed by Zeffy, a third-party payment platform. Your payment details go to Zeffy, not to us. We receive your name, email address, and donation amount so we can acknowledge the gift and meet our recordkeeping obligations.
- Basic site usage. Our web host records standard server data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We use this only to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
We use your information to answer your message, deliver the services you asked for, acknowledge donations, and keep the records a nonprofit is required to keep. That is all.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your information with anyone except the service providers we need to operate, such as our web host and our donation processor, or when the law requires it.
If you contact us or donate, we may send occasional updates about our work. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time by writing to hello@aapinetwork.com.
Cookies
Our site uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence and donation records for as long as we need them for our work and for as long as tax and nonprofit recordkeeping rules require.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@aapinetwork.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will post the new version here and change the date at the top of the page.
